EO4NOWCAST Near Real-Time Soil Moisture Assessment and Pluvial Flood Nowcasting - Backend service
Backend of EO4NOWCAST Near Real-Time Soil Moisture Assessment and Pluvial Flood Nowcasting services
The EO4NOWCAST sub-project of AI4Copernicus realised and demonstrateed an operational and replicable approach to assess severe weather events and related short-term hazards (nowcasting) built upon the synergy between EO and rainfall monitoring product. EO4NOWCAST is a generalized DSS platform that processes near real-time soil mositure maps and performs a pluvial flood nowcasting service based on the integration between satellite EO products and meteorological data through machine learning models.
This asset provides the backend API service for the EO4NOWCAST frontend webapp that is available at the following link, and requires the machine learning pipeline service that are fully described and available at the following link.
The docker container allows to interface the EO4NOWCAST near real-time soil moisture and the pluvial flood nowcasting services, available at the following link, with external services and/or frontend applications.
README.md file contains the instructions to start an application that exposes a ReST API to fetch NDMI predictions and flood risk data from projects storage spaces.
