VAKE OVERWATCH is a service for monitoring vessel traffic in specific areas of interest. Through data fusion of ship detections from Sentinel 1 & Sentinel 2 combined with AIS data, the platform can verify ship's positions, uncover dark vessels and highlight abnormal behaviour. The service is delivered both through a proprietary interactive map and as an API. 

Illegal fishing, asset protection, and environmental crimes are maritime challenges faced by governments and businesses worldwide. The sea's vastness and the ships' limited traceability create large information gaps, adding to the complexity of these challenges. Satellite images could fill in some of the blanks, but the images are just as vast as the oceans themselves. Getting actionable insights from this data is laborious work – this is where we come in.
