Dimetra.eu: Banana Crown Rot Predictor
An AI consultant to predict Crown Rot (CR) disease in bananas before shipment.
Organic bananas are packed green and fresh to be shipped in containers over long distances (month+). While in transport bananas grow crown rot making them unsuitable for sales, creating waste and a financial cost.
This AI service can predict before shipment whether bananas will present CR and estimate the financial cost. Based on the cost estimation the optimizer will suggest the most suitable transportation. Thus the model in most cases decreases the waste or saves money on expensive packaging practices.
The prediction precision based on location varies from 79% to 94%.
About the licence
Parts of the source code are with the Artistic License 2.0 and can be shared.
The data used for the model, the model and some other parts are Proprietary.
Currently a B2B agreement needs to be signed in order to have access to the model.
In the future, subscribed users will have access to the model through a web interface (under development).
