Navigating challenges in AI-driven hiring globally

In recent decades, the widespread adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) applications in the labour market, particularly in recruitment and selection, has transformed hiring processes. These technologies, with their unparalleled ability to process information and make decisions at scale, have streamlined various aspects of recruitment. However, challenges arise as evidence suggests potential diversity biases and a lack of effective legal remedies to ensure a fair AI-driven hiring process.

What is this workshop about?

The workshop "The ambitions and limitations of AI-driven recruitment and selection: Unfolding fairness and diversity bias" provides a cutting-edge platform for scholars and experts to engage in discussions regarding the ambitions and limitations of AI applications in the labor market, specifically in recruitment and selection. The focus extends beyond the functionalities of these technologies to encompass their profound implications on the social and ethical dimensions of hiring practices. The workshop aims to explore how these technologies shape notions of fairness and diversity bias globally and seeks collaborative efforts to move towards a more equitable and just landscape.

Why should you attend?

If you are interested in the fairness and diversity bias of AI applications in the labor market, especially for recruitment and selection, this workshop provides a dynamic and interactive forum. Through a balance of paper presentations and in-group discussions, participants gain a nuanced understanding of AI applications in the labour market, fostering collaborative discussions, knowledge exchange, and exploration of innovative ideas.
