Bunkering, the activity of supplying fuel to a ship is a vital, complex, and frequent operation in ports. Today, the common practice of prioritizing ships based on their order of arrival (also referred as to the ‘first come, first served’ rule) exacerbates congestion and contributes to increased greenhouse gas emissions at the port level. This practice leads to inefficiencies and delays as ships must wait their turn, burning fuel, regardless of their immediate operational needs.

JIT Bunkering optimizes ship arrival times at ports using AI, reducing delays and emissions, and improving port efficiency and environmental sustainability.
