This paper is a draft version based on research conducted for the European broad Humane AI consortium following the micro-project 'The Role of an AI Designer'. The research investigated the influence of an AI designer regarding a system's output and what this influence has for epistemic and moral consequences. The paper has been discussed at the 4S Conference in October 2021.
