ALTYN is a Swiss-based Space company which designs, manages and executes space projects. ALTYN has a strong background in design and development of satellite technologies, particularly in the domain of Earth Observation, as well as space programmes management, acquired through José Achache’s successive positions at CNES, ESA and GEO. As Mission Scientist, Initiator, System designer and Programme Manager, José Achache has accumulated a remarkable track record of conceiving, initiating, designing, financially engineering and developing satellite programmes, from very small satellites like OERSTED and DEMETER, to larger satellites like GOCE,
to small constellations like SWARM and to, eventually, COPERNICUS, the multi-billion EU programme for Environment and Security, and its “Sentinels” constellation of satellites.
