The "Agrotech Valley Forum" (AVF) is an association of scientific institutions, educational institutions, regional administrative authorities and companies in the agricultural and food sciences (including Amazone, CLAAS, Grimme, Krone). It deals with agricultural systems engineering and its efficient integration into future food production value chains based on digital technologies. With a focus on agricultural systems engineering and its efficient integration into future food production value chains based on digital technologies, the specific main tasks of the AVF are the promotion of professional cooperation and research as well as the initiation, monitoring and implementation of research and development projects. For example, in the Agri-Gaia project, which is funded by the German Federal Ministry of Economics, the AVF is collaborating on the development of an open AI ecosystem for the agri-food industry based on Gaia-X, the European sovereign data infrastructure.
