WHAT FUTURE OF EUROPEAN ROBOTICS? A CONFERENCE BY EC JOINT RESEARCH CENTRE

The European Commission Joint Research Centre organized a three half days (27th, 28th, 29th January 2021) conference on What Future for European Robotics?. The conference will host 4 keynote and 5 panel discussions and involve high-level speakers and panelists to provide scientific and policy-oriented analysis on the future of European Robotics. The discussion will cover technical, economic and social angles to identify short and long-term policy changes to address the covid-19 crisis and future challenges. 

Among others, there will be a Panel on Assessing the social impact of AI and robotics that will be moderated by Emilia Gómez from the Joint Research Centre. Professor Raja Chatila from the Sorbonne University in Paris and Member of the WP5 in AI4EU will contribute to the discussion. The panel will discuss the ethical principles and practical requirements for AI and Robotics to support fundamental rights and built a trustable and secure technological transformation.
