EIP PM call

The deadline is 12:00 Brussels Time on 30 September 2021.

The EIC and EISMEA look for technology enthusiasts with an ambitious vision for deep tech ‘made in Europe’ to join its team of Programme Managers.

As an EIC Programme Manager, successful candidates get the opportunity to turn their visions into reality. They will build up their programme around a portfolio of projects with Europe’s best researchers and innovators, and coach them along the path from early-stage research to proof of concept, technology transfer, and the financing and scale-up of start-ups and SMEs. The successful PM will guide start-ups and SMEs to patiently explore where needed, to accelerate where possible, to learn from mistakes, harvest new ideas and trigger new collaborations to overcome hurdles and, ultimately, to create genuine benefits from technological breakthroughs.

The EIC and EISMEA expect candidates to have a solid scientific/technical background and relevant experience in research, innovation, or entrepreneurship. However, it will be successful candidates’ visions, hands-on drive, leadership and enthusiasm that will make the difference.

The role of EIC Programme Manager is a career opportunity of high visibility across the academic, investment and the entrepreneurial world and a stepping-stone for transitioning into important roles in academia, start-ups, established companies, investment funds, government agencies, etc. The unique remit of the EIC provides Programme Managers with a privileged insight into cutting-edge developments across a very wide range of science-and-technology domains, unmatched by any other organisation in Europe.

Programme Manager is a temporary assignment of up to 4 years at EISMEA, the Commission agency that implements the EIC. EISMEA is an equal opportunity employer, where diversity is celebrated, and all people can be themselves without risk of discrimination or exclusion. For this call, women candidates are particularly encouraged to apply. EISMEA offers competitive pay and working conditions.
