-Digital Media (video/image/movie) Content Production and Broadcasting, Social Media Analytics,
-Medical/Biological/Dental Imaging and Diagnosis,
-Big Visual Data Analytics,
-Internet and Communications (media broadcasting, streaming).
-Scientific Imaging of any sort, e.g., Remote Sensing, Environment Sensing.
Photoshop and many other image processing tools are ubiquitous.
Furthermore, Image Processing is typically the first step that enables diverse applications, in unison with Computer Vision and Machine Learning:

This lecture overviews Color Theory that has many applications in digital image/video processing and analysis, multimedia sites and in digital TV. It covers the following topics in detail: Light wavelength, Human Visual System (rods, cones), color opponency HVS models. Color cameras, Bayer filters, multichannel/hyperspectral/infrared/ultraviolet images.Brightness/Chromaticity, RGB/XYZ/UCS/UVW/Lab color coordinate systems. Color TV, YIQ/YCbCr color coordinate systems, CMYK color image printing. Colour hue, saturation, luminance and HLS/HSV color coordinate systems.
