DIVERSIFAIR (Diversify with Intersectionally FAIRer AI) is a European initiative uniting eight partner organisations to promote fairness in AI.

We recognise that discrimination is rarely based on just one characteristic—race, gender, disability, and other factors intersect in complex ways. That’s why DIVERSIFAIR moves beyond traditional bias-mitigation approaches that focus on single categories, instead ensuring AI systems are inclusive for all.

Our key activities include:

• AI Practice Audits – Assessing bias risks in AI development and deployment
• AI Harms Typology – Classifying different types of AI-related discrimination
• Intersectional Data Science Education – Training AI professionals in inclusive data practices
• Actionable Recommendations – Providing guidelines for developers, policymakers, and organisations
• Awareness Training – Equipping both technical and non-technical audiences with knowledge to advocate for fair AI
