FAEN is the Regional Energy Agengy of Asturias.

From its creation in 2001, its purpose is the promotion of the sustainable use of energy, carrying out and developing advisory, research, awareness-raising and training activities on energy and environmental sustainability. Its action extends to all energy sources, vectors and infrastructures from generation to transformation, transport, storage and final use of energy; as well as energy management, standards and regulations, energy financial markets both from the perspective of suppliers and consumers. FAEN carries out activities such as energy related studies, energy planning, dissemination, auditing, training, consulting and advice, energy technological demonstration and financial participation in energy projects, as well as continuous monitoring of the evolution of projects and the search for the means to facilitate the achievement of the energy objectives and regional commitments. FAEN is involved in the energy transition process as an essential regional agent participating in renewable energy projects and in initiatives for efficient use of energy. Also, is strongly committed to the decarbonisation of economy and in searching of renewable and indigenous energy sources and the promotion of H2 to in the shifting of the energy model. As could not be otherwise, FAEN is looking for solutions for the local communities in this energy transition to try to turn it to a fair and long-term solution for the development of the region.
